            Description
My literary history studies inspired me to write the history of 260 years of Hungarian Freemasonry. More than twenty years ago, I wrote my drama Kazinczy and Batsányi about how differently the Hungarian intelligentsia behaves in sharp historical and political situations. While reading the literary products of the period, I came across Ádám Pálóczi Horváth's The Discovered Secret, published in 1792. book, which is the first and still the only Hungarian Masonic novel. With some changes, I borrowed the subtitle of this "novel" story from here. After the publication of the volume, I gave lectures in several Rotary clubs in Budapest, and learning about their activities, which in many respects took over the charitable mission of Masonic lodges a hundred years ago, I considered it fair to tell a short history of Rotary clubs and other similar organizations in Hungary.
